The 'Standard Black stool' has been in development for about a year with regard to dimension, aesthetic, batch-production and finish. 002 is French Polished
The Standard Black stool is fully levelled with feet chamfered to a dead-flat floor. The origins of three-legged furniture in Wales were usually about the relatively uneven earthen and flag stone floors of farmhouses and cottages. The stool is suitble for both instances. Finished in Incre de chine, polyeurethane top coat.
The lightweight Utility Gloss Black is a stylistically pared-down version of the standard black stool. Reducing the machining by nine processes reduces the overall cost of each piece. The strength, durability and finish quality are all equal to the standard stool.
front leg splay: 420mm
front to rear leg splay: 410mm
seat block: 260mm x 205mm x 30mm
The stools are often used as an aesthetic piece within a domestic setting. They are however, built to fulfil their working mechanical purpose. The stools in high gloss, satin or matt finish can be polished, maintained and repaired easily.
